Launch of Diversity List & Community Connectors 2017

21 March 2017 | The International Day on the Elimination of Race Discrimination, (IDERD)



Today, Mr. Matthew Cheung, The Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR Government, attended the launch of Diversity List & Community Connectors 2017.Mr. Cheung declared his support for ethnic minority inclusion in Hong Kong and said, “My special thanks must go to the Zubin Foundation and Spencer Stuart today for their continuous efforts in identifying talented ethnic minority individuals… Government bureaux and departments will certainly draw reference from the Diversity List in strengthening the membership of our advisory bodies or statutory boards. We look forward to welcoming more elite representatives from different ethnic groups to join hands with us in serving Hong Kong and the community.“

The 22 individuals named today as part of Diversity List 2017 and the 5 Community Connectors come from a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds. They are is a list of ethnic minorities qualified to sit on Hong Kong government advisory bodies. The list was developed by The Zubin Foundation in partnership with Spencer Stuart, our pro bono Advisory Partner. Twenty-two candidates were named to the list.

The launch of Race for Opportunity: Diversity List 2017 was attended by 150 individuals from various business and professional associations, most of whom were ethnic minorities.
